A charming retreat with quirks

Staying at Hotel Palacio seemed like stepping back in time, with its beautiful old-world charm and friendly staff. I loved chatting with them while sipping great coffee each morning.

My room needed a bit of extra attention upon arrival, particularly in cleaning.

Hotel was perfectly clean and cool with exceptionally nice staff and magnificent location close to main attractions. We spent 6 nights in nice styled and neat standard queen room with a terrace. The price was usd 33. Location: the venue was next to the center of town. Loved every minute of being there, recommend.

We recommend this hotel, spent here good 6 nights. We came here with our wife. It was in a great and fantastic location near the historical district and the centre of Montevideo near all the restaurants.

Super comfy bed and powerful shower. The location is convenient for exploring, but be warned about the noise from the street at night 😩

Street noise at night can be a hassle. Pillows need replacement, as some were yellowed, detracting from the comfort. Small ants appeared in a room on the sixth floor, which suggests cleanliness could be more thorough.

The Double Room with Balcony was cozy and had a charming old-world vibe. The huge balcony and view of the port were definitely highlights! The room was clean, but pretty small, and the bathroom was spacious. It could get a bit noisy from the street, and I did wish the breakfast options were better, just cake and coffee. But honestly, the friendly staff was good.
